I will post my first WAC rankings on Monday in what will be a weekly offering, but conference games start Saturday, so here's a look at how some Web sites are ranking the WAC teams entering league action...

Broncos begin WAC title defense

The Boise State men's basketball team kicks off its defense of the Western Athletic Conference title tonight at Hawaii.

Heading into conference play, the Broncos own the WAC's second-best record.

"It's definitely our goal to win the conference and get back to the (NCAA) tournament," head coach Greg Graham said...

The skinny: The Wolf Pack was picked by WAC coaches and media to continue its run of dominance in the conference that has seen Fox go 102-30 in four seasons. ... The inside-outside combo of Johnson and Babbitt has been dominant for Nevada. Babbitt has shown a good 3-point touch (11 of 28) for a big man, but Johnson -- the preseason WAC Player of the Year -- is struggling from outside (6 of 39)...
